freakshow - welcome to the forum.
One think you may want to check is the vent on your fuel tank. Make sure it is open, at least when you aren't underwater.
If the vent is closed, as you burn fuel there isn't anything to replace the area where the fuel was in your tank. What essentially happens is a vacuum is created. In the beginning, this isn't a problem, however, as the vacuum increases the motor is playing tug of war with it as it tries to suck in more fuel. Eventually the vacuum wins and it will slowly choke out the engine because of lack of go go juice.
Give that a try. Let us know if that was the root of your problem.

I know - I'm a rookie.
I have a standard small 3 gallon gas tank. I've been strapping it in then leaving a larger, refill tank, on the beach to top it off when it gets low while keeping the weight down in the boat.
The times I've actually let it get more than 1/3rd of the way empty, it seems like the motor is cutting out a bit. Once I top it off, it runs strong again. Will these tanks run dry, or is the pick up not all the way at the bottom. My thought was that as I'm bouncing around, maybe the fuel intake gets some air bubbles in it.
Any ideas??

Hey - I just stumbled across this forum. It looks like it is going to be a great outlet for inflatable cats. Seems like all the info I find is few and far in between. Hopefully this will bring everyone together and be a great knowledge base for racers and weekend warriors like myself. Keep it up!
Cheers.

2004 Inflatable Boat Manufacturer: Silver Marine Length: 10'6" Power: 2004 Mercury 9.9 HP Price: $2100 obo
The boat and motor are in great shape. The boat has a small repair towards the nose that was professionally repaired. It holds air like a champ. I bought this boat in May and put 10 hours (tops) on it. The previous, original owner, estimated he used it less than 20 hours total. He used it as a tender for his large boat. The motor is immaculate. 9.9 hp doesn't sound like much but this set up will easily get a 500 lb load up on plane, and with one person, I'd estimate 25 mph. It is rated for 4 - persons.
The great part is how it compacts down. No need for a trailer if you are not using it as a tender. The entire boat will roll up into a bag that is 4' X 1.5' X 1.5'. The second picture gives a better idea of the scale. The times I used it I usually had the boat and motor in the back of my car, dropped it off at the boat launch and was cruising in 15 mins tops. Have a boat without the storage / trailering hassles! Great for fishing, exploring shallow waters or cruising around the marina.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Tons of extras include: -Boat Cover -Motor Stand -Oars -Manual Air Pump -Manual Bilge -3 Gallon Gas Tank (This motor doesn't take much!!) -Some extra marine specific paint (used on the floorboards) -Storage Bag -Registered through 2012 -All manuals / documentation
